I know my friends that actually live in NY hate Times Square. But I have always wanted to visit and I am glad I've had the chance 3 times! The first time was in 2004, on my first trip to NY, and in Christmas time. It was such a magical feeling of being in the place I had seen on TV where the New Year's Eve countdown takes place! The second time I visited was in 2007 on vacation for my 25th birthday - and when these images were taken. I will admit, back then I didn't know too much about my camera and am not quite sure how I even captured these images, but I'm glad I did! These are some of my favorites I've ever taken in NYC and I just love the colors and the energy I can remember and almost feel when I look at them.
2007 was my husband's first time there & I don't think he quite knew what to make of all the people running around and going totally different ways around him, but to me, I just loved the energy and busy-ness of it all. There are so many sights, and people, and bright.big.bold.lights! I especially love seeing the cabs weave all around, and how they manage to always dodge the pedestrians. In 2010, I had to walk through Times Square to get to a shoot, and actually was not too enthused about it. In the daylight it doesn't seem near as exciting, but rather very dull and gray. Of course, I know it's a tourist trap (and realize it more and more every time I go), but I am glad I have been able to see it for myself.

Hi Megan!
My name is Emma, and my best friend since the third grade, a whopping eon ago it feels, is the lovely miss Lauren Wright Payne, and I have heard wonderful things about you from her! I wanted to stop by and say how much I have enjoyed looking at your work (especially the fashion shoot from the image at the top of your blog, I LOVE that black lace/tulle/flower look). I myself am an actor in the Atlanta area and actually just signed with an agency this week, so I am in the market to get some new pictures done. Lauren has generally taken care of my photos in the past, but she has also recommended you highly for all of the work you do with the entertainment community, and I would love to talk to you about your work. Feel free to shoot over to my blog or head to my website to contact me if you would like! I look forward to hearing from you. :-)
